A simple yet tasty and satisfying salad, best made in the summer months when the vegetables are at their ripest. If you can use vegetables from the garden for an extra authentic touch! Greek salad is a very popular every-day dish, easy to make and synonymous with Greek summer. usually served as a side dish or as part of a meze starter

3 tomatoes
1 half cucumber
1 green pepper
a few olives
1 onion 
1 slice of feta cheese
season with salt, olive oil, oregano and vinegar (optional)


  1. Roughly chop the tomatoes, cucumber, onion and pepper into a salad bowl. Add olives.
  2. Season with salt, add olive oil and vinegar to taste. Mix well
  3. Place the slice of feta on the top of the salad, sprinkle with oregano and serve. Bon Appetit, Καλή όρεξη!

Note: you can add oregano, caper or chopped basil or purslane to the salad
