There are several groups on the island that are involved in environmental protection and education, and animal welfare, some of which are organised and run by volunteers. There are also groups that you can volunteer to help!

Stepping Stones is a not-for-profit animal shelter and registered charity in Greece. They focus on dogs and particularly re-homing puppies. There are always around 50 dogs who where stray or abandoned.
