If you are visiting, or staying in, Argostoli and are looking for somewhere to relax, swim or picnic one of these three idyllic beaches maybe just what you’re looking for!

You can walk or drive between the beaches :
Fanari to Kalamia – walking approx. 43 min (3.4 km), driving approx. 8 min (3.4 km)
Kalamia to Gradakia – walking approx. 16 min (1.2 km), driving approx. 3 min (1.2 km)

It you want to visit the three beaches in the same day you could incorporate a visit to the watermills at Katovothres , Monumento Ai Caduti Divisione Acqui (the memorial to the Italian Acqui Division), and St Theodores Lantern (Fanari).

Fanari Beach

Find the golden and grey sands and warm, shallow waters of Fanari Beach just below the Fanari Lighthouse. The beach is quiet, has no organised facilities and is suitable for children. You can find refreshments at Camping Argostoli located right behind the beach. The beach is very close to Argostoli centre and easy to find.

Kalamia Beach

Find the sweeping bay of Kalamia Beach located down a steep track from the unnamed coastal road that connects Fanari to Lassi. Explore the sea caves, swim in the beautiful turquoise waters or relax on a sunbed, or at the beach bar.

Gradakia Beach

The fine gray sands of Gradakia make it an ideal beach for children. The crystal clear waters are warm and shallow and the beach facilities are ideal for families. They include a canteen, showers and sun beds.
