There are some places that are memorable! This eastern coast of Paliki peninsula is a breathtaking sight !
Turquoise waters, amazing dramatic coastline, and unique scenery, all combined create a magical environment that you should not miss while travelling to Kefalonia.
I do not need to say more the photos speak for themselves.
You can access the beaches by taxi, boat rental or daily cruises departing from Agia Kyriaki. There is no road access, there are two hiking trails that start from Atheras village and Zola. You can contact us for a hiking guide!

Hello Anna! One question please. Are there any small boats which can be rented in Zola for a whole day by persons who dont have any boat licence (something similar like “Yellow boats” in AE). We’re coming in Kefalonia right at the beginning of September, will be based in Zola and would love to explore Ftery bay.

Hi Anna! I’m going to visit Kefalonia this week and I would like to see and explor the fteri beach. Could you give me some tips how to get there ( by foot or by boat). Thanks a lot and love your site!!
We took the boat I believe from Zola last year to Fteri. Do you by any chanace have contact details for the boat guy so that we can arrange our trip this year?
Hi Anna – I love your site! My wife’s family is from Kefalonia and we are coming in June/July to revisit her roots. We want to hire a boat to explore the westside beaches including Fteri, Myrtos, etc. Is the sea generally calm or is there a lot of swell? We are comfortable with the sailing (and the swimming) the question is how safe it is to anchor so we can go ashore. Some photos make it look very calm, so very rough. I’m sure it varies, but is it typically very rough or generally calm in late June and early July?
Thank you for your message and nice words! The sea on that side is sometimes rough but this is not something we can predict as there are beautiful days too where is will be able to anchor, are you renting a yacht or a small boat? Thanks Anna
Hi Anna congratulations on your fantastic website on Kefalonia …love the photography and the information that is provided …it’s exactly what visitors to this beautiful island needed …thank you …
My girlfriend and I are going to Zola in August, we want to hike to Fteri Beach as we know that it is possible. Is it possible to hike to Amidi Beach, too? And what about Platia Ammos and Koutsoupia, is it possible to get there without a boat? What are your favourite (hidden) beaches/bays on Kefalonia? Your website is amazing! Stunning pictures, it seems like Kefalonia is a real paradise! It would be very nice if you can answer my questions 🙂 have a nice day 🙂 Greetings from Germany Tjado & Nadine
Hi Anna! I will be in Kefalonia this summer and am interested in the boat transfer from Zola to Fteri. This seems to be a common question that you address via private message, but I wanted to know how to contact the boat company to set this up.

Hi Anna, same inquiry as many in this thread. We’ll be making our first trip to Kefalonia in July and have Fteri and Amidi beaches on our list. Can you pass along your recommendation for getting to them? Thanks! Eric
Hi Anna, same basic question as others in this thread. We’ll be visiting Kefalonia for the first time in July and want to visit Fteri and Amidi beaches, but aren’t clear on the best way to reach them via boat hire. Your advice would be appreciated! Cheers, Eric
