In the same southwestern gulf of Myrtos and Vouti beaches, Agia Kyriaki is a sandy beach with amazing crystal clear turquoise waters.
Agia Kyriaki is a spacious beach, a great choice in the high season when most beaches are crowded. It is open to the northern winds, so it can be sometimes wavy, have that in mind if you have children with you.
Nestled below the charming fishing village of Zola, Agia Kyriaki Beach is one of Kefalonia’s most authentic and unspoiled seaside escapes. Sheltered by dramatic green hills and surrounded by crystalline turquoise waters, this long stretch of sandy shore offers a peaceful and truly local atmosphere.

The beach is divided into sections — a quiet, natural part ideal for swimming and relaxation, and a small organized area on the east part where you’ll find sunbeds, umbrellas, and a nice beache bar and taverna that has nice fish and beef burgers. The water here is exceptionally clear and deepens gradually, making it perfect for snorkelling or a refreshing dip.
Agia Kyriaki remains off the main tourist trail, so even in summer it keeps its tranquil charm. A short, winding road leads down from Zola, rewarding visitors with beautiful panoramic views of the bay along the way.
Whether you come for a swim, a meal by the sea, or simply to watch the fishermen return with their day’s catch, Agia Kyriaki captures the timeless, laid-back spirit of Kefalonia.
At Zola port, at 1km, you could rent a boat, or a water taxi or join a daily cruise to explore the nearby secluded beaches (Kamari, Fteri, Amidi). At the port, you can also find a couple of great fish tavernas.
