The first week of September might just have been one of the very best of the whole season!
After a short night rain (which I like to believe I ordered directly from nature 😉), the island woke up fresh and sparkling. The beaches were washed clean, the colors looked brighter, and the air had that crisp feeling that makes everything more alive.

I spent the week wandering around, enjoying quiet moments in nature, swimming at less crowded beaches, and admiring Kefalonia’s endless beauty. It felt like having the island all to myself, with just a handful of other “lucky ones” who know this is the best time to be here.
What makes this period so special is the perfect balance — everything is still open, but the rush of August has passed. You can enjoy your coffee slowly in a seaside café, take a peaceful drive through the villages, or stretch out on a beach with plenty of space to breathe.

Of course, I couldn’t resist taking some fresh footage (lots of it!) that I’ll be using them to update the site and create new videos during the winter. For now, I just want to share this little reminder:
September in Kefalonia is pure magic, and those who visit get to see the island at its very best.
