At Kefalonia by Anna, designing tailor-made experiences for passionate and curious travelers is what I love most. This week, I had the pleasure of once again welcoming a delightful group from the U.S. — visiting for the fourth time! — along with their inspiring organizer, Heather. Sailing through the Ionian Sea aboard the charming boat Aigiotissa, they embarked on a truly unique journey that combined exploration and creativity through a knitting workshop tour.
Together, we explored some of Kefalonia’s most iconic spots like Fiskardo, Assos, and the breathtaking Myrtos viewpoints. We wandered through the magical Melissani Cave, discovered treasures at the Ecclesiastical Museum of St. Andreas, and enjoyed a delightful wine tasting with local snacks (amazing cheeses with marjoram and samphire) and welcome drinks from our talented chef George.

One of the highlights was a mandola (local sweet) demonstration and farm tour, and a lunch in their beautiful colourful environment and little shop with local products.
But the most meaningful moment for the group was their visit to the Harokopeion in Argostoli — a heartfelt and inspiring presentation by Mrs. Stamo, the soul of the organisation, and her talented successor, Christina. They shared traditional textile techniques, stories, and guided us through the beautiful little museum dedicated to Kefalonian heritage. Later the group visited their shop in the heart of the capital at Kabana square.
It’s an honor to welcome returning guests who connect with the island on such a deep level — thank you for your trust, your smiles, and your passion for learning and sharing.
