Kimilia beach is a hidden paradise between Dafnoudi and Emplissi. A short forest path leads to turquoise waters, white pebbles, and lush greenery – perfect for snorkelling, diving, or a peaceful escape.
For those who seek a peaceful corner, even on the noisiest and hottest days of August, Kimilia beach might be an anchorage of coolness and tranquillity. Between Dafnoudi and Emplissi beaches one can find Kimilia, having a similar morphology of exceptional beauty, with coarse white pebbles, rocks hugging the gulf, and flat ones you can sunbathe on.
Having to walk a charming path, a few minutes through the shaded trees, one will come to see an impressive, secluded little bay. The visitor will admire the lush vegetation that nearly dives into the water, whilst children can enjoy playing on the rocks that form little coves into these amazing turquoise waters. The beach is also ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving due to its very interesting seabed. You may need beach shoes as in some parts the pebble might hursh or slippery. Gazing at the island of Lefkada stretching ahead, this beach is a feast for the eyes and the soul.
You can spend a day here, or you could combine it with a visit to all three nearby beaches (Dafnoudi, Kimilia and Emblissi) if you have enough of time. But in case you don’t want to rush your stay at Kimilia, be sure to have some water and snacks with you since there are no services offered. Even though there is enough shaded space, it might be occupied by earlier visitors, so bear in mind that you also need an umbrella.
